Blockbuster.Com
Client: Blockbuster Corporate
Project: Blockbuster.Com
Status: Complete
Timeframe: 2001
Details: During the early months of 2001, the corporate leaders at Blockbuster decided it was time to change the main website to something a little sleeker and more efficient.
Using Vignette, we would be able to display and render content pertinent to the single user. It would also make managing and producing content for the main website a great deal easier.
The site design was developed, and then handed to me. The design was sorely inconsistent as far as widths of columns, image pixel sizes, etc. The first three weeks of my time on this project was setting a graphical standard so that the Vignette developers could have a stable platform to work with.
Once the standardization was complete, I began ripping apart navigation bars, loading images, banners, and creating tables that the Vignette developers would eventually use to input user-directed content.
I created well over 500 individual tables and almost 1500 graphics for the Blockbuster main website.
